A state of being that most of us\, especially parents\, wrestle with inelegantly. Focusing on Flacks’ personal odyssey Guilt brings the perspective of a self-sacrificing Jewish mother who becomes the instigator of a family’s dissolution. Societal effects\, causes and casualties and the feeling that we have when we’ve profoundly hurt others. This exploration may not pull punches\, but don’t worry\, it’s accompanied by laughs – because how else do we get through anything? \nDiane Flacks returns to Tarragon Theatre with Guilt (A Love Story)\, her fifth one-woman show.

SUMMARY:Carnival Experience featuring Joaquín Núñez @ St Francis Centre Ajax
DESCRIPTION:Cuba and Brazil are two of the most influential countries in world music today\, rich in rhythms and songs that are very well known around the world. In this energetic and interactive family performance\, Joaquín showcases World Music\, Latin rhythms\, and dance that would be experienced at Carnival and other community events. Audience members will have the opportunity to participate in percussion exercises\, vocal chants\, harmony parts\, and traditional dance steps\, as well as learn about various percussion instruments used in styles such as Samba and Conga. Concessions available. Tickets are $20 (HST included) and are available online at ajax.ca/sfc\, at the Ajax and McLean Community Centres\, the Audley Recreation Centre\, and at the St. Francis Centre Box Office.
