Time has found them\, hiding in plain sight. Or possibly it’s just a man in a wrinkled suit. But they must act\, now\, or forever be devoured by their own indifference. Logan Avenue awaits\, and beyond it\, heaven\, perhaps. They can no longer live on the periphery of their own lives. They must invite the young man to dinner. \nWith direction from Jackie Maxwell\, and from the mind of Morris Panych\, Withrow Park asks what we see in the darkness\, and who is watching us from the light.

DESCRIPTION:The jazz.fm91 Youth Big Band performs live at The Pilot\, in memory of Dr. Michael Arthurs. \nDr. Michael Arthurs\, the respected musician and educator who for the past year served as musical director of the jazz.fm91 Youth Big Band\, passed away last month at the age of 60. \nDr. Arthurs joined jazz.fm91 in September of 2022 with more than 25 years of experience as a composer\, arranger\, music teacher\, freelance musician\, and recording artist both in Toronto and internationally. Since then\, he had been a champion\, advocate\, confidant and fearless leader for the 13 young musicians in the jazz.fm91 Youth Big Band. Dr. Arthurs’ calm and cool leadership led the band to perform at a professional level. \nOn Monday\, Nov. 20\, in the Stealth Lounge at The Pilot\, the jazz.fm91 Youth Big Band will perform in honour of their late mentor. \nDoors are at 6 p.m.\, show starts at 7 p.m. No cover charge\, no reservations.
