DESCRIPTION:In celebration of Giving Tuesday\, vocalist Holly Cole\, bassist George Koller and pianist Aaron Davis will join jazz.fm91 for a special visit featuring an interview and live performance. \n \nOfficially kicking off Christmas on our airwaves\, Cole is joining us to celebrate the release of her new Christmas album\, Baby It’s Cold Outside and I Have the Christmas Blues. Following a conversation with host Brad Barker\, the trio will play two songs from the remastered\, reissued compilation. We’ll also be giving away signed vinyl copies of the album! \nBaby It’s Cold Outside and I Have the Christmas Blues brings together songs from the Holly Cole Trio’s first-ever recording\, the Christmas Blues EP from 1989\, and Holly Cole’s quintessential holiday album Baby It’s Cold Outside from 2001. The material features the trio’s intimate\, well-honed musicianship juxtaposed against the later tracks featuring the accompaniment of a large jazz orchestra\, arranged and conducted by pianist Aaron Davis. \nStay tuned as we celebrate Giving Tuesday with Holly Cole and friends.
