Is this a prophecy coming true or laboratory gene doctoring? \nCulture\, science and politics collide when a media circus and a ‘new age mob’ descend on the herd to witness a sacred prophecy and the scientific goal to achieve 100% pure-bred Bison. Torn between honouring Indigenous traditions\, scientific truth and economic necessity\, one Indigenous scientist battles to keep her ethics intact and her herd alive.

DESCRIPTION:On Friday\, May 27\, A Sondheim Jazz Project comes to the Old Mill with fresh and thrilling jazz arrangements of beautiful songs by the American theatre’s greatest songwriter\, Stephen Sondheim. Both longtime Sondheim devotees and jazz fans previously unfamiliar with his work have fallen in love with this band over the years. A Sondheim Jazz project features five of Toronto’s most prominent mid-career musicians: Bobby Hsu (arranger/curator)\, Alex Samaras (voice)\, Adrean Farrugia (piano)\, James McEleney (bass) and Morgan Childs (drums). \n\nJazz has had a home at Old Mill for many years and now we have created a unique space in our main Dining Room: cozy\, intimate and reminiscent of the old Jazz clubs with a spot for those that want to dance… our new sound system will envelop your senses\, while the inspiring and passionate artists on stage will hold your gaze. \nWe are delighted to announce the new Jazz Lounge\, an evening series at Old Mill Hospitality.
