DESCRIPTION:Back for its 45th year\, it’s jazz.fm91’s annual Sound of Jazz Concert Series. \nJoin us this holiday season for the Caribbean Christmas Mixtape\, featuring Joy Lapps-Lewis\, the Grammy-winning Larnell Lewis\, and special guests. \nBacked by the talents of pianist Jeremy Ledbetter\, bassist Rich Brown and guitarist Jeremy Hector\, Joy and Larnell take inspiration from their upbringing as two Canadians born to Afro-Caribbean parents in the 1980s\, and the traditions they keep as they nurture their own family. They’ve taken influence from the calypso\, zouk\, reggae\, soul and R&B sounds of their ancestry and blended it with their own modern approaches to jazz and hip-hop.
