DESCRIPTION:JazzinToronto Live: A Community Celebration is a digital live-streamed festival that will run from July 20-23\, 2021. The four-day digital event will present an exciting roster teeming with the diverse talent the City of Toronto has to offer — including Jane Bunnett\, Heather Bambrick\, Reg Schwager\, Neil Swainson\, Laura Hubert\, Rebecca Hennessy\, Alexis Baro\, Nathan Hiltz\, Donovan Locke\, Jesse Ryan and Caity Gyorgy. \nAll concerts will be live-streamed from Toronto venues and will be available free of charge through our social media platforms to ensure accessibility to the audiences. Venue partners include the Rex Hotel\, Jazz Bistro\, Lula Lounge\, Top O’ the Senator\, Tranzac\, DROM Taberna\, The Emmet Ray\, and Motel Bar as hosts for the initial broadcasts; the event will culminate in a double bill at Koerner Hall with multi-award winning headliners Jane Bunnett and Heather Bambrick. \nJazzinToronto is running a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds to pay for the artists and the production of the live-streams. Any amount will help to make this happen\, and so will spreading the word! \nFor more details\, visit jazzintoronto.ca.

DESCRIPTION:The TD Toronto Jazz Festival Summer Concert Series is a weekly concert series\, broadcasting live from the Long & McQuade Performance Hall at jazz.fm91\, which kicks off our 35th anniversary celebrations\, culminating in the 35th edition of the TD Toronto Jazz Festival in June\, 2022. Presented by TD\, the Summer Concert Series highlights 10 local acts who each bring their own unique perspective to the performance of jazz\, and reflect a variety of the elements which have been part of the Festival over the past 35 years: from emerging artists and young lions to the best of the best; from traditional jazz to new sounds; from mentorship to community connections. \nJazz started in the streets and has always been a community music – a mandate the Festival has sought to continue each year by presenting some of the biggest names on a variety of stages for free. Since its beginnings\, jazz fans have attended the Festival and experienced the best music in the world barrier free\, allowing for unparalleled musical exploration and discovery – we’ve presented more than 3\,500 free shows over the past 35 years! The Shuffle Demons are an outstanding reflection of this community approach\, bringing people together wherever and whenever they play.
