See you there!\nYou know her and love her\, and now you can join her for a very special Live to Air broadcast here at jazz.fm91. \nBarbra Lica will grace the Long & McQuade Performance Hall for a full-hour performance on Monday\, June 3. \nAfter an incredible performance at JAZZ LIVES\, we had to bring her back for more. With her unique approach as a vocalist and songwriter\, you’ll see why she’s admired by audiences around the world. \nA seasoned act on the Canadian and American club and festival circuits\, Lica has performed everywhere from New York City’s legendary Birdland to Toronto’s prestigious Koerner Hall. She has headlined at festivals across the continent and has been ranked by the CBC as one of Canada’s top jazz singers. \nShe’ll serenade an intimate audience with a repertoire of songs that will likely include tunes from her Juno-nominated album I’m Still Learning and her latest record\, You’re Fine. With a seamless blend of jazz\, country and folk influences\, You’re Fine is Lica’s most ambitious and personal offering to date. \nMonday\, June 3 from 7 to 8 pm \nOur thank-you gift for your donation of $150 for one seat or $300 for a pair. DESCRIPTION:June is bustin’ out all over and the Advocats Big Band is focussed on all it has to offer (hopefully that will include warm weather…). Join us on Monday\, June 3rd from 7:30 to 10:00 pm at The Duke Live (1225 Queen Street East at Leslie) for another instalment of our First-Monday-of-the-Month big band tradition. We have a wonderful lineup of musicians and great tunes planned for you! \nThe Duke Live has parking on-site and nearby\, TTC convenience (the streetcar drops you at the front door!)\, wheelchair accessibility\, and very tasty and reasonably priced food and drink.
