A message to JAZZ.FM91 listeners and supporters regarding COVID-19
We wanted to take a moment to address the issue of the COVID-19 outbreak and the upcoming upcoming International Jazz Safari to Washington, D.C., June 11-14. As of today, this event will proceed as scheduled. There are not currently any travel advisories from the Government of Canada for Washington, D.C., or for the United States in general. The June events at the DC Jazz Festival are still proceeding as scheduled and tickets for specific events have been purchased or are on hold. Additionally, at present, Air Canada has not cancelled any flights to Washington, D.C. or to other destinations in the U.S., other than cancellations that would take place in the normal course of business.
We at JAZZ.FM91 take the health and safety of all our listeners, supporters and staff very seriously. All decisions moving forward will be taken based on the evolving situation, the actions of our travel partners and providers, and on the advice and recommendations of local and national governments and international health agencies, with the health and safety of our donors being our paramount concern.
