Jake Burke Kleinman

My name is Jake Burke Kleinman and I am in grade 12 at Etobicoke School for the Arts. I’ve been playing trumpet since grade 6, but only fell in love with jazz about 2 years ago. My first real exposure to jazz came in grade 8, when I played in my middle school’s stage band. However, I loved to listen to Vince Guaraldi’s Charlie Brown CD when I was younger. This is the first year I auditioned for the JAZZ.FM91 Youth Big Band, and I’m overjoyed to be a part of the band. Playing with amazing musicians (and an amazing conductor) in this context has been a dream come true for me.
