Notes in the Night

 The City of Toronto presents a special exhibit exploring the creation and evolution of Toronto's jazz clubs.  On now until June 23rd the Market Gallery hosts Notes in the Night: The History of Toronto Jazz Clubs since 1946.

Guest curated by archivist and jazz historian Ralph Coram, Notes in the Night features archival photographs, ephemera, videos and interviews shedding light on the clubs, the performers and the music that contributed to this city's vibrant jazz scene.  Including interviews with Toronto jazz greats such as Archie Alleyne, Molly Johnson and Don Vickery, this exhibit will also screen the 1963 Don Owens film, Toronto Jazz.
